SIAARU installs as a progressive web app rather than shipping through the App Store or Google Play. Three reasons, all of which favour you rather than us.

Everything works on day one. Every module, every KPI, every export — not the fraction a first native release would carry while the rest caught up over a year.

Fixes reach you the next time you open it. No review queue between a problem being found on a Tuesday and being gone on a Wednesday, and no version of SIAARU stranded on a device somebody forgot to update.

Nothing to reinstall when we ship. The icon on your home screen keeps working; the product behind it moves.

What a store-listed application would add is honest to state: notifications that arrive when the app is fully closed, and camera-first document capture. If either decides it for you, tell us — it is a build we would do, and it would sit on top of exactly what is here rather than replacing it.

Face ID is not on that list. Signing in with your face, fingerprint or Windows Hello works in the installed app today — see below.

Once the app is on your home screen, add a passkey under Settings → Security. After that, signing in is Face ID — a look at the phone, and you are on the dashboard. Touch ID on a Mac, Windows Hello on a PC, the fingerprint sensor on Android.

It is safer than the password it replaces, not just quicker. There is nothing to type, so nothing to watch over your shoulder on a shop floor. There is nothing reused, so a breach somewhere else cannot reach your account. And a convincing copy of this login page on another domain cannot obtain one however perfect it looks — your browser signs only for the site that asked, and it will not be talked out of it.

Your fingerprint and your face never leave your device. The phone keeps a private key in its secure enclave and unlocks it with your face; SIAARU stores the matching public key and nothing else. There is no biometric in our database, and no way for us to obtain one.

Your password still works. A passkey is added alongside it, not instead of it — so a lost phone is an inconvenience rather than a lockout.

Worth knowing if the device lives on a receiving dock rather than in a pocket: the app stores none of your data on the phone. No cached dashboard, no cached figures, no offline copy of anything a person could read.

That is a deliberate constraint rather than a limitation we have not got to. A control tower is read on shared tablets, and a cached screen is one shift's numbers shown to the next shift's operator. It also means every figure you see was computed when you asked for it — which is the whole point of a product that shows its working.

The cost is that the app needs a connection to show you anything. With no signal it says so plainly, and reloads by itself the moment the signal comes back.
