Three ways this usually starts.
You have SAP and still run on spreadsheets
The data is in the ERP; getting a usable view out of it takes a person three days a month. SIAARU reads the same tables and produces the view continuously, with the formula attached so nobody has to trust it blind.
You have several plants and no single number
Each site measures fill rate slightly differently, so the group number is an average of four definitions. One engine, one definition, per-site breakdowns underneath it.
You are about to be audited
Every state change carries actor, before, after and reason. Every KPI can be re-derived from the rows it was computed from. That is the same property an auditor asks for and a planner needs.
Being straight about fit
When SIAARU is the wrong tool.
- You need the system to place orders automatically. SIAARU recommends and routes for approval; it does not write back into your ERP.
- You have under a few hundred SKUs and one site. A well-kept spreadsheet is genuinely cheaper, and we would rather say so now.
- You want a forecast with no history to learn from. Under about a year of monthly data, the honest output is a benchmark forecast marked unvalidated — which we will show you rather than dress up.
- You need a certified SOC 2 report today. We are not there yet. The current position, in full.
