Why it is hard
The part that is not a report.
A hundred distributors and five hundred retailers hold stock nobody in your business can see, and they report it when they feel like it, on a phone, at the end of a long day. So the state that matters most here is not a level — it is whether you have been told anything at all. "This retailer is holding nothing" and "this retailer has not reported" are different sentences with different lorries attached, and a screen that renders the second as the first dispatches stock to people who did not ask for it and teaches its users that the numbers lie. Channel stock is never added to your own inventory: that table is stock you own, in a place you control, and mixing somebody else's into it would make every valuation figure in the product arguable.

Said before you ask
What we don’t do.
SIAARU decides from your records and nothing else. It carries no copy of the world’s data, states no figure your systems have not, and acts in nobody’s name. Where your data does not support an answer, it says so by name rather than producing a confident one — which is the whole reason a decision taken on it holds up later.
Every figure is what the partner told you, not what we counted. A partner who has not reported is reported as silent rather than as empty: the two look identical on a dashboard that defaults to zero, and only one of them is worth a lorry. Channel stock is never added to your own inventory — that table is stock you own, and mixing somebody else's into it would make every valuation figure arguable.
